Maricarmen Carreto

I am an incoming second-year student in the GEMS program and joined the Alonzo lab at the end of May (2026). I graduated from Roosevelt University with a BSc in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During my undergrad, I conducted 2.5 years of research investigating the role of PCMT in Drosophila melanogaster after injury and infection.

My hobbies outside of the lab include reading, crafting, and hanging out with my cats.
