Reggie Woods

I am in the Medical Scientist Training Program and a part of the Pharmaceutical Sciences graduate program at UIC. As an MD/PhD student in the lab, I study de novo lipoic acid synthesis and how lipoic acid transfer affects various biochemical processes in S. aureus. I aim to develop new drug targets for S. aureus. I am interested in dermatology and hope to use my PhD to better understand how bacteria impact skin pathologies.

My hobbies outside the lab include makeup, skincare, and film photography.
